Leave the Season, Keep the SEASONING

Sometimes you have to go through a hard SEASON so you can get it's SEASONING on you.

Someone once told me, "You may walk through what feels like the valley of the shadow of death...but that doesn't mean you should stop along the way, pitch a tent, and camp there any longer than you have to."

This wisdom hit me square between the eyes and it has stuck with me for years. I never want to underestimate or disassemble what God is allowing me to be processed through simply because I stayed in what I labeled as a "season" for any longer than I needed to. In this life on earth there will be troubles, there is no doubt about that.

Stress at work will try to crush you, opposition may rise against you, emotions could undermine you, family will hurt you, leaders will fail you, financial troubles will surprise you, good health may leave you...and you will surely find your self labeling some point of your life a "difficult season."

My encouragement to both myself and others in a savory season is this, don't stay any longer than you have to but don’t rush out before you’re done. Leave the season on time--take it's flavor with you and move forwards.
