Hard Truth My Hair Taught Me

I'm learning quite a ton this year about process, progress, and growth. As random as it sounds, God has been hitting me with some of the deepest truth for my life simply by the way I am learning to care for my hair.

I trust and believe some of this may apply to you.

1. It doesn't matter what you do, if what you are working on isn't healthy it won't turn out right.

2. What works for others doesn't always work for you. And the sooner you recognize this, the better.

3. You can have all the right products and all the right tools, but if your process is flawed, your results will be too.

4. Work with what God has given YOU. Looking at everybody else will always leave you disappointed.

5. If it's dead or weighing you down, CUT IT OFF. Rose bushes need pruning, hair needs trimming...learn how to positively edit your life to cultivate growth.

6. Adapt. Between seasons, temperatures, climate, and activities. What worked last year might not work today or next year. Keep growing.

7. Stay committed to learning. The more I learned about my hair the better I could care for it. The more you learn about YOU, the better you can care for you. The more you learn about others, the better you can care for them.

Be YOU and embrace what’s yours.
